MARCH 2008 AT OUT OF BOUNDS

The big question this month is: GREENVILLE, ARE YOU READY FOR GAY BINGO?!? We’ve done it once, we’ve done it twice, and now it’s time for ANOTHER round of NOTCHA MAMA’S BINGO! Come join us at Saffron’s on March 15th at 8PM for food, fun, and of course Bingo! January’s session of Notcha Mama’s Bingo was a raging success and we doubled our attendance. A great time was had by all and we raised hundreds of dollars for our January recipient, AID Upstate. Saffron’s was so impressed with our last turnout that they have agreed to cater concessions for this next session! A drink bar will also be available during the event. With Saint Patrick’s Day following two days later, our theme this time is going revolve around the good green saint, so be sure to wear your best greens to the festivities! 70 % of the event’s proceeds will go to Piedmont Care. Notcha Mama’s Bingo is a Bi-Monthly Event sponsored and coordinated by MCC UPstate. Visa, Amex, and Discover will be accepted for Bingo Games Only. Persons under 18 must be accompanied by an Adult. ~The Freedom Bowling League meets each Tuesday at 8PM at Star Lanes for bowling and socializing. If you would like to join, please contact us at the store, 864-239-0106 or via email oobsales@charterinternet.com. Last month, we reorganized for the new season and signed up several new bowlers. However, we still need at least 4 more bowlers to even out our teams. Come join us for fun and friendly competition every week! Everyone is welcome!

~The Book Club will be meeting on March 10th at 7PM to discuss this month’s selection: When you don't see me by Timothy James Beck. The Book Club meets on the Second Monday of each month to discuss the book chosen by the members. Membership is free. Since the beginning of the year, we’ve been renovating the interior of the store with a fresh coat of paint on every wall, new tile throughout the whole store, and reorganized inventory in all areas of the store. We are doing our best to make every visit to Out of Bounds a pleasant and easy shopping experience! We’ve also brought in a host of new items: Lubes, Massage Oils, Toys, Hardware, Wallets, and Socks...just to mention a few! If you’ve been to the store and haven’t seen an item you’re seeking, please let us know! We’ll do our best to stock it in the store or even special order it for you! Directions

From 385:

Follow Hwy 385 towards Greenville. Pass the Exits for Roper Mountain road and Haywood road (respectively). Take the exit for South Pleasantburg. You will travel pprox. .8 Miles. Pass Krispy Kreme. After the Third Traffic Light, Merge to the Right. Once merged, follow curve to the left. At the light take a right onto Laurens Road. Immediately get into the left most lane. At the next Light, at the Citgo, take a left onto W. Antrim. Follow Antrim around the curve (Caution, it is very sharp!) At the next Light, get into the left most lane. Suntrust Bank will be on the other side of the intersection. Take a left. (Please be careful here, the traffic is tricky.) Once you turn, you will be getting into the FAR right most lane (it leads up to the bridge). OUT OF BOUNDS will be there on the right.

From I-85 / South Pleasantburg Drive:

Take I-85 to Pleasantburg. Take Pleasantburg North. Follow Pleasantburg (Approximately 3.4 Miles). Pass Greenville Tech on Left. Pass McAlister Square on Right. At the next light, at the Suntrust Bank Get into the right most lane. Cross Intersection, STAY in the far most right lane. You will be going up to the bridge. OUT OF BOUNDS will be there on the right.

From I-85 / Laurens Road:

From I-85 take Laurens road (Hwy 276) towards Greenville (West). Travel Approximately 2.3 Miles. Pass the Motor Mile. Pass Haywood Road on Right. Pass Zaxby’s Restaurant on Right. After Zaxby’s, the road will curve sharply to the left. At the next light, E. Antrim Dr., take a left. Immediately get into the far most right lane. At the next light, Pleasantburg, take a right. STAY in the far most right lane. You will be going up to the bridge. OUT OF BOUNDS will be there on the right.

From Downtown Greenville:

Take Hwy 385 out of Downtown Greenville. Immediately get into the right most lane. On the right take exit 42 for Laurens Rd. Turn right onto Laurens Road. You will travel Aprox. 1.2 Miles. Pass E. Washington Street. Pass the Sugarshack on right. Pass Laurens Road Church of God on right. At the next Light, at the Citgo Gas Station, take a left onto W. Antrim. Follow Antrim around the curve (Caution, it is very sharp!) At the next Light, get into the left most lane. Suntrust Bank will be on the other side of the intersection. Take a left. Please be careful here, the traffic is tricky. Once you turn, you will be getting into the FAR right most lane (it leads up to the bridge). OUT OF BOUNDS will be there on the right.

FEBRUARY 2008 AT OUT OF BOUNDS

The BIG event this month is the new season of bowling for the Freedom League. If you want to join the League, now is the PERFECT time! On Tuesday the 12th at 8PM, Out of Bounds will be hosting a meeting at the store to organize for the new season. The new season begins the following week on the 19th. If you can’t make it to the meeting, drop by the store at any time to sign up. Everyone is welcome! After the 19th, unless otherwise noted on our calendar, bowling will be every Tuesday. Come join the fun and bowl with us!
If you didn’t catch our coupon flyers last month at all the bars in the Greenville/Spartanburg area, do not fear! Even though the weather outside was frightful, last month’s Notcha Mama’s Bingo at Saffron’s was a resounding success! We thought the last minute rescheduling was going to sink us, but instead we had an amazing turnout! Our attendance doubled since our last event in October! The crowd was so large in fact, that we are contemplating a larger space in the future. We managed to raise several hundreds of dollars for AID Upstate! The next Notcha Mama’s Bingo will be (weather permitting) on March 15th. Our theme is going to revolve around St. Patty’s Day, so be sure to wear your Greens! Stay tuned to this space next month for more information. Notcha Mama’s Bingo is a Bi-Monthly Event Sponsored by MCC Upstate. 70% of all proceeds go to AID Upstate. JANUARY AT OUT OF BOUNDS!

The main attraction this month at OOB is the MAJOR face lift we’ve given the store! We’ve put a fresh coat of paint on the interior and redone the entire floor. Come in and see us - It’s a brand new store! Dean has ordered a fresh new batch of fun for the store this month. Come in and check out the new items!
I hope you caught our flyers at the bars in the Greenville/Spartanburg area this month – they have a coupon on them for 20% off! We had them available at The Castle, The Sugar Shack, The Red Moon, and The Cove. If you’ve got one, be sure to come in by the end of the January, because they expire at the end of the month! Also, be sure to look for our Ads in upcoming issues of Q-notes for additional savings!

Some events of note this month are:

• Freedom Bowling League will be bowling at Star Lanes every Tuesday. The current season ends on the 29th and the new season begins February 19th. Sign up NOW!

• On Jan. 19th come join us and the MCC at Saffron’s Downtown for Gay Bingo! The Event is to benefit Aid Upstate! Come on down for a great cause and lots of community fun! Bingo begins at 8PM!
