If you can’t make it to the meeting, drop by the store at any time to sign up. Everyone is welcome! After the 19th, unless otherwise noted on our calendar, bowling will be every Tuesday. Come join the fun and bowl with us!
If you didn’t catch our coupon flyers last month at all the bars in the Greenville/Spartanburg area, do not fear! Check out the early February issue of Q-Notes for our special Valentine’s Day promotion. Bring the ad with you for discounts to help make your Valentine’s Day extra special! Be sure to keep your eyes on Q-Notes in the coming months for other promotions and special savings from Out of Bounds!
Come join the Out of Bounds Book club! The Book Club will be meeting on the 11th at 7PM to discuss this month’s selection: Code of Conduct by Rich Merritt. The Book Club meets on the Second Monday of each month to discuss the book chosen by the members. Membership is free. If you are interested in joining the Out of Bounds Book Club, please contact Steven McCarthy at stevenmccarthy@bellsouth.net.
Even though the weather outside was frightful, last month’s Notcha Mama’s Bingo at Saffron’s was a resounding success! We thought the last minute rescheduling was going to sink us, but instead we had an amazing turnout! Our attendance doubled since our last event in October! The crowd was so large in fact, that we are contemplating a larger space in the future. We managed to raise several hundreds of dollars for AID Upstate! The next Notcha Mama’s Bingo will be (weather permitting) on March 15th. Our theme is going to revolve around St. Patty’s Day, so be sure to wear your Greens! Stay tuned to this space next month for more information. Notcha Mama’s Bingo is a Bi-Monthly Event Sponsored by MCC Upstate. 70% of all proceeds go to AID Upstate. We'll be changing our location for the summer season of Bingo, so be sure to keep you eyes on this space and our calendar for more information!
A very special thanks to all the Out & Proud businesses here in the Upstate that have been working with us to knit a tighter GLBT community. Our friends at The Castle, The Sugar Shack, The Red Moon, and The Cove have been very gracious in letting us disburse our promotional flyers at their locations. Please check their links and get out and about to support them. Let’s keep doing our best to make Greenville Out and Proud!
If you haven’t been to the store in the past thirty days, you are seriously missing a major transformation! We’ve given the interior a complete face lift. You really must see it to believe it! It is amazing what a fresh coat of paint and new tile can do! We’ve brought in a great selection of new items and have reorganized the store to make it easier for you to find everything you need. Come by and see the new Out of Bounds!
We appreciate you taking the time to read our events listing and for all your support. Out of Bounds is the ONLY GLBT community pride store left in South Carolina! If you do most of your pride shopping in Atlanta or Charlotte, stop by Out of Bounds instead and give us a chance to impress you! If you have any ideas for items you would like to see at the store or thoughts for the blog please email us at oobsales@charterinternet.com and let us know!
Please check our calendar for more upcoming information & events!
